Labour Law
This dimension assesses the risks for companies arising from the applicability of local labour law to the traveller's employment. This could result in significant additional financial obligations or in-kind entitlements to the employee, such as holiday pay (depending on the specific laws in the destination country).
Consequences
- local entitlements such as termination arrangements
Explanation
Local labour law might become applicable on the employment of an employee who temporarily works from abroad. However, the existing employment contract is likely to prevent this. Through WorkFlex this risk is further mitigated by instructing the employee to refrain from working over hours, on weekends and on holidays. For more information on these employee instructions, please see below. This risk dimension is included under the no-risk concept.
